Fuuka is a manga made by Kouji Seo and served as a sequel of his previous work, Suzuka. It began its serialization on February 12, 2014 and currently consists of 14 volumes. The anime adaptation was launched and began airing last January 6, 2017 and produced by Diomedéa. The opening theme "Climber's High" was written by Seo and performed by various artists. Sho is playing the guitar, T$UYO$HI from The Bonez is playing bass, Hirotaka Takahashi from Ellegarden is playing drums, and the anime's composer Takurō Iga is playing keyboard. Manami Numakura who is also voicing Hedgehog's vocalist, Tama in the anime sang the opening theme.

The story starts with Yuu Haruna, a hardcore Twitter user who once made a promise to make a band to his childhood friend Koyuki Hinashi, now a popular singer. One day, Yuu stops to take a photo to upload on his Twitter and a high school student named Fuuka Akitsuki accidentally bumps into him and mistakenly accused Yuu trying to take a photo of her panties. Unknowingly, Fuuka leaves a CD in which Yuu returns the following day. Later on the two became friends and at her request they form a band.  Things got complicated when Koyuki contacted Yuu via Twitter.
